Left Primm and headed for Vegas. Had to make the requisite ghost town hunt. Found Ghost Springs and saw the usual. Can you tell we are a bit jaded about these places now. It will be fun looking up all these places on Google Earth. See where Zelda led us.

Checked into our room at the MGM Grand. Classy place, at last Carmyn is in a hotel she feels up to her standards! I am always amazed at the architecture here. Vegas is the only place on earth where perfectly good old buildings are not thought of as historical structures to be preserved, but rather things that have to be destroyed to make room for something grander! Bigger and better is the motto here for sure!

The pool area is fantastic. 5 pools, 3 hot tubs and a lazy river that has a current that carries you along for about 1/2 mile. It’s fun to watch the people floating in tubes, or wading along, with their drinks in their hands, trying to dodge the endless spouts of fountains and water falls along the way. Smoothie drinks are $9 and virgins are $5. It’s great livin’ the high life in 114 degree weather (in the shade, I might add).

The room at this hotel was great. Very classy and BIG. Bathroom is marble and big too. View is of the strip.I am sooooo pleased.
Had dinner at Rainforest Café at MGM.

Took the kids to see the Excalibur and Luxor.
